Medjool Date Crust


  • 1 cup Natural Delights® Medjool dates 
  • 1 cup (150 g) almonds 
  • ½ cup (30 g) dessicated coconut 
  • ½ cup (50 g) cacao powder  
  • ¼ cup (40 g) old fashioned oats
  • ¼ cup (55 g) coconut oil 
  • 1 tablespoon (20 g) sesame seeds 
  • pinch of salt


  1. Line the bottom of a springform pan with a parchment paper circle. Set aside. 
  2. Place all ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and blitz for 5-7 minutes or until the mixture reaches the consistency of coarse sand. 
  3. Transfer the mixture to the springform pan and distribute it evenly. Use the bottom of a flat glass to firmly press the mixture together. 
  4. Place the crust in the freezer until ready to add filling, but at least 30 minutes.
