Medjool Date Cocktail


  • 8 shots (1 ½ cup/44 ml) rum 
  • ½ cup (150 g) Natural Delights Medjool date syrup  
  • 6 dashes orange bitters 
  • ice cubes 
  • splash of soda water 
  • (garnish) orange peel 
  • (garnish) cinnamon stick


  1. In a cocktail shaker, shake the rum, Medjool date syrup, orange bitters and orange peel together.  
  2. Pour the drink over ice cube filled glasses. 
  3. Add a splash of soda water to each glass. 
  4. Garnish with the cinnamon stick and more orange peel. 

Notes: It’s best if you use a lightly spiced rum, like those of the Captain Morgan and Bacardi brands. While drinking; occasionally stir with the cinnamon stick since the Medjool date syrup tends to settle to the bottom.
